if God is in and of
with and through
every bite and bump of creation
how could God be absent?
Where would God go?

conformed informed reformed
nothing new
nothing lost
every detail written with divine signature
like stars we are born
like stars we die
rain bathes blooming orchard
breeds peaches
feeds me and every creeping thing
washing rocks
wetting my song
flaming my curiosity
I stand at the edge of what I see
looking at Mystery I call God

Jim Manney’s quote is found in today’s selection in An Ignatian Book of Days by Jim Manney, SJ, a series of daily reflections from the Spiritual Wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
