Truth: A word for today

I am at a total loss to write about “truth” even though it is the greatest value I have to offer. “Truth.”

What is truth?

Sure, Certain, Trustworthy, Reliable
Words spoken
Facts conveyed from a body of knowledge
Testimony of divine experience …… hummm…. still I wonder……

What does inherited Wisdom have to teach me about truth?

Psalm 25.5 Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation, for you I wait all the day long.

Psalm 43.3 Oh send out your light and your truth; let them lead me, let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!

Psalm 51.6 Behold, you desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my heart.

It seems truth is the perview of Divine Presence; the illumination of consciousness sent to teach and lead humanity from our “inward being.” Truth, the “wisdom in my heart” is conveyed from the inside out.

John 1.14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth…

The Spirit of Truth, the Advocate, presides as wisdom in every human heart. This raises several questions for how I live my life

Do I subordinate what I think I know and pray, “Lead me in your truth oh God?”

Do I humbly follow “light and truth” to incarnate a life of holiness?

Do I practice listening deeply to discern “wisdom in my heart?” and faithfully speak it aloud?

Do I affirm Divine Presence lives in my inmost being “full of grace and truth?”

Surely, truth is the greatest value I have to offer and it is the work of my lifetime to realize and incarnate it in my words and daily life.
