To speak of finding God in all things is to admit that no doctrine, no tradition and no Scripture can exhaust the mystery that is God… we know that any talk of ultimate truth must be humble before the vastness of human experience and of creation. Tim Muldoon

What to say about……..
awe hollowing whispers ?
marvel dilating pupils ?
shock jolting sloth ?
beauty winning wonder ?
fortune defying circumstance ?
death bearing life ?
curiosity compelling questions ?

What to say about……..
sigh that stills ?
tickle that teases ?
taste that tantalizes?
word that wounds ?
blessing that bewilders ?
epiphany that enlightens?
miracle that mystifies ?

What to say about……..
bequest
born in every bit and branch of creation ?
One Holy Living ?
One Torah Covenant?
Buddha Dharma Sangha ?
Brahma Vishnu Shanka ?
Holy Trinity ?
laughing longing loving ?
Being such as is

Tim Muldoon’s quote is found in today’s selection in An Ignatian Book of Days by Jim Manney, a series of daily reflections from the Spiritual Wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Throughout the book we hear the voices of St. Ignatius as well as many great thinkers and writers, long gone and present day, each uniquely revealing the way of finding God in all things. And that is my intention; to find God/Divine Presence/Ultimate Reality in whatever presents itself to me each day in 2024.

Each day I read, reflect and write on the selection, hoping to articulate the ways in which I come to know God/Divine Presence/Ultimate Reality via personal experience, impelled by the leading of my inner life.
