Post Election Ululation : it is enough for now

I do not want to make the best
of things…
what things?
some things?
all that is?
or will become?
good things?
bad things?
things are just things
unaccountable

today’s troubles are enough
for now

neither do i want to find the good
in things …
hoping against hope
mining murky mud

consider stiff stemmed lilies
turbaned trumpets rising
fanning perfume to pale skies
til gust and gale
slash separate
sepals and petals disheveled
lay down torn earth coverlet
embellish debacle’s breach

today i am
lying down
on good and awful ground
it is enough
for now
