When I awoke this morning from a good night’s sleep I was surprised that I really felt nothing…
this must be right
neither electrified excitement
nor foot-dragging second thoughts
today i purchase a new home
neither coming nor going
effort is effortlessness
mind body heart allied
this must be right
this new home
must be right
grace upon grace given
not to be owned

When I awoke this morning from a good night’s sleep I was surprised that I really felt nothing… not excited… not anxious… not anything but ease. It is almost shocking, except I am not shocked, that the prospect of spending alot of money (a mortgage that will be due til well past I am dead) and schlepping countless boxes has not stirred my peace, at least not yet! So, this is all I have today. Gratitude. Gratitude for the grace given not to be owned.
