then love breaths me
every beetle divine tree
source of life, force of connection
assurance of resurrection
If no thing is
that is not love …..
… dare I crucify conception
with disgust and vain rejection?
follow fear forgetting faith?
make crooked what love makes straight?
… dare I despise what love makes rare?
shovel contempt on honor’s lair?
protesting I will not travel
love’s merciful extra mile?
… dare I crush what love creates
poisoning all by breathing hate?
If God is love there is no room
for malevolence to loom
smashing life, cracking connection
spurning hope of resurrection
