welcoming orange stripe sunrise?
stretching my tongue to catch snow crystals?
rubbing soft down of eager pup’s ears?
writing stamping sending my condolence?
returning neighbor’s bowl full of fresh fruit?
telling my sister I am sorry?
my brother I am grateful?
my daughter she is pure delight?
watching Bellatrix and Pleiades dance across night?
What if I die before tomorrow… never
daring to sing?
learning cross country skiing?
jumping off fear’s fabled cliff to love?

Luis Gonçalves de Camara, SJ’s above quote is found in today’s selection in An Ignatian Book of Days by James Martin SJ, a series of daily reflections from the Spiritual Wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Throughout the book we hear the voices of St. Ignatius as well as many great thinkers and writers, long gone and present day, each uniquely revealing the way of finding God in all things.And that is my intention; to find God/Divine Presence/Ultimate Reality in whatever presents itself to me each day in 2024.
