Burning Down My House: a prayer

Last night I had a dream of an ancient mountain erupting. It gave me this prayer.

Holy One, let ancient mountain gush, possess my private places and pitchy passageways. Bury this blushing body in Your ashen blanket, then breath Your blessing on this house that I may beam Your Holiness; for Your glory and the good of every body. I cannot do this. By Your grace, I am. Amen.

Controlled fire

You require

Pine box bier

To rewire

Dress desire

And untie her

From crow’s choir

Light the pyre

Occupier

I awoke from the dream head bowed with hope.
